When the repeal of Prohibition occurred on December 5, 1993, it was a cause for champagne-soaked celebrations. Except in Washington D.C. where the residents had to wait until the repeal of the Sheppard Act. Which would not come for another 85 days. Which is the history behind this speakeasy- Dry 85.
Dry 85 is a nod to the Prohibition era. A 21st-century embrace of the outlaw culture created by Prohibition.
