Who’s ready to run?! Join your community on Sunday, August 14th for the PGRC Women’s Distance Festival 5k and Fella’s 5k Race.
A fun, flat, and scenic 5k race on a certified course through Lake Artemesia in College Park, MD.
This event features two separate races. The woman’s race taking place at 7:30 am. This event is part of the MD’s Women’s Distance Festival 5k Series. A man’s race will follow, taking place at 8:30 am.
Awards will be given to the top three finishers of the race (both male and female), and top finishers in five-year age groups (both male and female).
This is the 43rd year of the Women’s Distance Festival being sponsored and supported by the Road Runners Club of America. Since 1979 the RRCA has celebrated the history of women’s rights to participate in running events at any distance and at any age. The race culminates the state of Maryland’s RRCA Women’s Distance Festival Series.

Registration closes on August 13th at midnight, there will be no day-of-race registration.
