November 19, 2020
The holidays are just around the corner, so it’s a great time to volunteer! Giving back is always important, especially during the holidays, which can be a difficult time for many.
Monarch has been hosting a canned food drive for the Maryland Food Bank this holiday season, so if you haven’t already, please stop by to drop off your canned good donations. There are also plenty of other hands-on ways to give back to the community this year:
Harvest Blessings
Join Grace Pointe Community on Saturday, November 21 for their Harvest Blessings event, which will be held from 5-8pm. Harvest Blessings will be collecting food for the Grace Pointe Backpack Ministry, which provides food for elementary school families. There will also be a firepit and light snacks for you to enjoy!
Fill the BUD Truck
Maryland Hall will be hosting their Fill the BUD Truck event on Friday, November 20 from 2-4pm. Come drop off food, toiletries, and other basic essentials and help fill the Budweiser truck. There will also be raffles and giveaways, so stop on by to give back and maybe even get some back in return!
Virtual Volunteer Organization
Voices of Hope is a recovery support organization that provides support for patients in recovery throughout Maryland. Learn about the different kinds of treatments and recovery resources they offer at their virtual volunteer orientation event and sign up to volunteer!
Bea Gaddy Family Centers One Time Volunteer Opportunities
The Bea Gaddy Family Centers has a bunch of one-time volunteer opportunities coming up! These events will be taking place throughout the rest of November and are fun, easy ways to give back. Events include loading trucks, prepping food, packaging bags of food, sending food, and making deliveries to senior homes.
Give Back
We wish all of our Monarch residents a very happy holiday season and hope you are able to support others and give back.
