Hello, Monarch Waugh Chapel residents! It’s officially almost time for sweater weather, apple cider, and boots! With summer behind us, we encourage all residents to go out and enjoy the reddening leaves and cool breeze throughout Crofton, Gambrills, Fort Meade, and throughout the beautiful state of Maryland.

If you’re not too scared, stop by at dusk this upcoming October 4th, 2019! Conquer the two trails filled with nightmarish demons, ghastly ghouls, and evil clowns. Afterwards, go into the Town and explore the Field of Corn. Markoff’s will leave you gasping for air, so purchase tickets online for a fun adventure rush! Beyond their haunts, there will be performers, ziplines, survival games, and food, (after you’ve worked up an appetite)!
Are you an avid fan of horror and Halloween? The Legends of Fog is opening this September 27th to fulfill your spooky needs! Buy your tickets online for only $30 to skip the box office! 1 ticket pays for all 4 adventures, so get excited! Survive zombie hordes on the Haunted Hayride, check-in at the Farewell Hotel and get lost in the 70 door maze, navigate and hide in the Cornstalkers Corn Maze, and enter the Sinister Circus! If these attractions aren’t scary enough, then stop by during Blackout Weekend on November 2nd and 3rd. Patrons will experience new fears by navigating the entire attraction in the dark! Are you brave enough?
MD Sunrise Farm grows some of the best local apples right in Gambrills! Pick some local produce, or perhaps even a pumpkin for your jack-o’-lanterns! They also offer: butter making, pumpkin picking, hayride, pedal carts, sling shots, hay jumps, junior jumps, log cabin building, corn hole, pony rides, face painting, and tight-rope walking. So, don’t miss out and stop by with friends and family!
Come get lost right here in Gambrills! MD Corn Maze is open every Friday from 6:30 p.m. until 10:30 p.m., Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m., Sundays from 11:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. Maryland’s Best Corn Maze is approximately 8 acres and Harry Potter themed, so explore the 4 Houses and magic within the fields!
Prince George’s 2019 Fall Fest
Come out for this fun and free to register festival on Saturday, October 5th from 11:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. At the Bowie Towne Center, come sample some local wines, enjoy great food, and listen to local music. The fest will be filled with artisans and performers, so don’t miss out! Monarch at Waugh Chapel strives for an involved community, so give back to this festival and its nonprofit organizer, Concerts for Causes. By supporting this festival, you’ll give back to the local community and its cultural centers for students.
